Inductive loads are common in large electric motors. When an inductive motor, such as an air conditioner, starts it creates a large current surge. High frequency inverters such as the one shown above are fine for small inductive loads but when trying to power large electric motors, low frequency inverters such as Aims, Victron, and Magnum are more suitable. You can usually tell because a low frequency inverter will be about 3 times as heavy due to the iron core transformer and most likely 3 times as expensive.
